Discovery Park is easily one of my favorite places in Seattle for engagement photos. It has so much variety, which makes it such a great spot for couples sessions. From the open views and tall grassy fields to the forest trails and beach, it always gives us so many beautiful places to work with.
Amber and Cameron’s session there felt simple in the best way. We took our time, wandered through a few of the open areas, and let the evening unfold naturally. Nothing felt rushed, which made it easy for them to just be together and enjoy the moment. They were sweet, relaxed, and so easy with each other, and a lot of the best moments happened in between everything, just walking close, laughing a little, and settling into each other.
We started out in the field, where the tall grass gave everything a playful and easy feel, then made our way to the overlook for some wide scenic views. As the sun got lower, the light turned soft and warm and gave the whole session such a romantic atmosphere. Discovery Park really was the perfect setting for them. It has a quiet kind of beauty that never tries too hard, and it fit their session so well.
As a Seattle wedding photographer, I love creating images that feel timeless, relaxed, and true to each couple, and Discovery Park is one of those places I never get tired of photographing. Amber and Cameron made the whole evening feel effortless, and it was such a joy getting to photograph this season of their story. I’m so excited to capture their wedding story in July at Chambers Bay Golf Course.
